In Art & Design we work with and support every learner to become a creative individual, offering the opportunity to express and explore personal creative and innovative ideas. As a student here you will be introduced to a variety of media and techniques that will broaden and strengthen your knowledge and understanding within this creative sector. You will develop your own practice as an artist and be encouraged to investigate new ideas and processes. We deliver a curriculum which includes external briefs, gallery visits, artist/designer support and links with local employers. Our students give outstanding feedback on their experience with us and we pride ourselves on ensuring that the support, advice and encouragement we give means learners can progress onto their chosen paths after college.
Outside of your lessons there are opportunities to continue to achieve and succeed by taking advantage of the creative facilities at the college. We have a well-equipped library with a large selection of books ranging from art & design, fashion & textiles, graphics, animation, photography and media, to an exciting range of magazines as used by the industry.
