Expert advice from top two universities for Futures students

Universities of Oxford and Cambridge deliver joint presentation to Futures Programme students at Clarendon Sixth Form College on their next steps.

The college’s Futures Programme provides talented and gifted A-level students with access to a bespoke curriculum; with an academic bursary, visits and talks by prestigious universities and extra tuition to motivate success with higher education applications.

The presentation, which was delivered by Dr Catherine Sumnall, admissions director at Sydney Sussex College, University of Cambridge, covered topics such as applying to university via UCAS, the levels of study in higher education, researching universities and degrees correctly and what the two universities can offer to prospective students.

Steven Richardson, student support officer at Clarendon Sixth Form College, said: “It is excellent that our Futures Programme students can access advice and guidance from two of the best universities in the country, if not the world. The presentation was very in-depth and informative and will help the students to choose the right course and university for them.”
